a.i.1. Possibility of carrying out CSR activities in North East Sector of India was projected on Health, Education and Skill Development Training.
b. Cost of educating 27 Students at Shillong has been borne by PHL for providing fee for first year of Master's degree by Martin Luther Christian University. It was made sure that the University chosen for the purpose must have its campuses in rural areas.
c. Skill development training was zeroed down to emphasizing modern techniques as well as the handicraft development of the area selected. Approximately 250 students at Guwahati have been trained on computers.
d. People belonging to below poverty line had been identified for training on (a) Artisans for Bamboo, Jute and Wood i.e. making use of natural bounty, (b) Handloom for Women; and also (c) Cutting, Tailoring Knitting, Embroidery. 20 such people have been trained so far in Gangtok.
e. As far as Health area is concerned, recently one big size ambulance i.e. Tata Winger has been provided to the Ramakrishna Mission Hospital at Itanagar.
f. Apart from this 60 women of below poverty line were enrolled in Non Formal Education under Self Help Group Entrepreneurship Programme and imparted training on computer application, cutting & tailoring and beauty & Healthcare
g. Carried out project in association with CRY based on Right to Survival, Right to Development, Right to Protection and Right to Participation for children belonging to slum areas.
