Pawan Hans Limited (PHL) and Airbus Helicopters signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate for the introduction of two new categories of rotorcraft in PHL fleet in future for overall growth of Helicopter Industry in India as well as for the repair, maintenance and overhaul of its existing AS365N Dauphin helicopters on 19th June 2019 during Paris Airshow at France.

The MoU signed by Air Commodore T A Dayasagar, Executive Director, PHL and Ashish Saraf, Head of Airbus Helicopters for India and South Asia at the Paris Air Show. This synergy will also include customized training and on-site Safety Management System (SMS) for PHL pilots. The MoU stipulated that Airbus Helicopters will support PHL in growing its onshore, offshore and onshore travel markets by introducing the new age helicopters through transparent bidding process.

PHL is the largest customer in the world for Airbus Dauphin helicopters. It currently has 22 locations deployed for offshore Oil & Gas operations, VIP transportation and other mission utilities. Airbus Helicopters will provide predictive and scheduled maintenance, repair and overhaul services for PHL’s existing Airbus AS365N Dauphin helicopters, the MoU said.

Mrs. Usha Padhee, CMD, PHL informed that the PHL’s active participation in the Paris Air Show by signing an MoU with Airbus Helicopters for various supports including Maintenance support for Dauphin series of helicopters in PHL.
