Pawan Hans Conferred with Best General Civil Aviation CPSE by ASSOCHAM “Promoting Heli-Tourism & Remote Area Air Connectivity”

Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Sh. Jayant Sinha conferred Pawan Hans for Promoting Heli-Tourism & Remote Area Air Connectivity at a function organized by ASSOCHAM held in Delhi on 30th August, 2017.

Pawan Hans bagged this Prestigious Award for its Sustainable and Balanced Business Performance in Helicopter Transport Services and Achieving Market Leadership Position. Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation , Sh.Jayant SInha presented this prestigious award to Dr. B P Sharma, CMD, Pawan Hans . During the Award Ceremony Policy Makers, Business Leaders, Senior Bureaucrats, Industrialist and Dignitaries were also present and recognised the strategic performance of Pawan Hans in whole range of operations in terms of profitability, contribution, Rural Area Air Connectivity and Promoting Heli-Tourism.

The fleet serviceability of Pawan Hans has achieved the highest-ever level of above 83%, resulted in more deployment of Helicopters, Leveraging Information Technology for Boosting Efficiency, Performance under MOU parameters improved, Maintaining Highest Safety Standards by implemented SMS (Safety Management System) with the objective to achieve zero accidents, zero defects and zero breakdown, resulted huge reduction in insurance premium, Optimal Utilisation of its Human Resources, implemented effective Inventory Management Practices to ensure Quality Control, Interest cost control strategy, internal control system were adopted and contributing to the society under CSR obligations in North East Region and other operational locations endeavouring to give back to the society.
