Shri Govind Agarwal is a distinguished finance and corporate strategy professional with about three decades of experience in the energy sector. He is a Nominee Director on the Board of Pawan Hans Limited. Currently he heads Mergers & Acquisitions as well as Capital & Project Financial Engineering at Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), leading strategic initiatives in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, accounting, investment evaluation, business development, financial planning, and corporate restructuring. A highly accomplished finance professional, he is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), an Associate Cost and Management Accountant (ACMA), and a Company Secretary (CS). He secured All India Rank 6 in both the Intermediate and Final examinations of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) and is a Gold Medallist in Advanced Financial Accounting in the ICMAI Final Examination.
Mr. Agarwal has extensive experience in strategic investments, corporate finance, financial management, internal audit, and corporate governance. During his international assignment with ONGC Nile Ganga B.V., an overseas subsidiary of ONGC, in the Netherlands, he served as Director, overseeing finance, accounts, treasury, taxation, statutory compliance, corporate reporting, and governance across multiple overseas jurisdictions. He was conferred the ‘Young Executive of the Year’ Award by the Chairman, ONGC, in recognition of his professional excellence and has received several other awards and commendations during his career. His Areas of Interest are Corporate Governance, Cross-Border M&A, Capital Allocation, And Digital Finance.
