Pawan Hans Strengthens Board and Leadership Team with Key Appointments

Pawan Hans Limited has strengthened its leadership and governance framework with the appointment of Shri Govind Agarwal as ONGC Nominee Director on its Board and Ms. Shilpa Premraj Meshram as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

CMD appreciated the team for their exemplary teamwork, dedication and professionalism in providing uninterrupted aviation support to the State Government, particularly in the challenging operational environment of Gadchiroli. He acknowledged their valuable contribution towards enhancing connectivity, facilitating emergency medical evacuations and supporting critical public-service requirements.

CMD felicitated Capt. Rajiv Sharma, Capt. Arvind Saini, Shri J.K. Verma, AME, and the entire Gadchiroli team for their commendable efforts in the timely evacuation of a patient on 31 July 2026, which played a crucial role in saving the patient’s life. The timely response and dedicated service were also appreciated by the District Administration.

During his visit, CMD also met with the Superintendent of Police (SP), Gadchiroli, and the District Magistrate (DM), Gadchiroli, and assured them of Pawan Hans’ fullest support in meeting the aviation and operational requirements of the district administration, particularly for emergency response and other critical public-service needs.

CMD encouraged the team to continue working with the same commitment, professionalism and spirit of service, reiterating that Pawan Hans is committed to serving the nation and extending dependable aviation support to State Governments and district administrations, especially in remote, challenging and underserved regions.

Pawan Hans Limited organised an engaging and insightful training session on Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) on 26 August 2026, reaffirming the organisation's commitment towards creating a workplace that is safe, respectful, dignified and inclusive for every employee.

The session commenced with a warm welcome to Dr.MukeshRanjan Das, Former Executive Director (HR), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.. (IOCL), by the Hon'ble CMD, Pawan Hans Ltd. In his address, the Hon'ble CMD emphasised the importance of continuous awareness and sensitisation on POSH, and the need to collectively nurture a workplace culture where every employee feels safe, respected, valued and heard.

Dr. Das is an accomplished HR and POSH professional with extensive experience in Human Resources, workplace compliance and organisational practices. He is currently associated with TERI as Senior Advisor and IIT Bombay as Visiting Faculty.. He has also authored the book "Complete Guide on POSH" and has recently been conferred a national Thought Leadership Award on POSH, recognising his contribution to the field.

The training was highly interactive and participative, with employees engaging enthusiastically in discussions, case-based learning and practical aspects of the POSH framework. The session provided valuable insights into workplace behaviour, prevention and reporting mechanisms, responsibilities of employees and the importance of maintaining dignity and professionalism at the workplace.

Adding an element of fun and healthy competition, an exciting POSH Quiz was also organised by the trainer. The enthusiastic participation of employees made the session even more engaging.

The discussion focused on Pawan Hans' intent to undertake a detailed techno-commercial assessment of electric seaplanes, with the objective of accelerating their potential introduction for commercial operations in India.

India has the opportunity to be an early adopter of this emerging technology. With appropriate regulatory, technological and institutional support, the timeline for commercial deployment could potentially be brought forward from the currently envisaged 2031 horizon towards 2029.

Electric seaplanes can potentially contribute to:

• Lower carbon emissions
• Cleaner and quieter regional connectivity
• Connectivity to island and coastal communities
• Tourism and emergency response
• Development of new regional aviation routes

The discussion also covered the transformative potential of UDAN 2.0, including the planned development of 100 airports and 200 heliports over the next decade. CMD Conducts Open House to Strengthen Employee Engagement and Foster an Inclusive Workplace Culture

Saving Lives When Every Minute Matters . On 31 July 2026, Pawan Hans Limited, in coordination with the Maharashtra State Police, successfully completed a critical MEDEVAC mission in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. Saving Lives When Every Minute Matters

On 31 July 2026, Pawan Hans Limited, in coordination with the Maharashtra State Police, successfully carried out a critical Emergency Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) mission in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, reaffirming its commitment to providing life-saving aviation support in remote and challenging regions.

Responding to an emergency request from the Operations Cell, Gadchiroli Police, the PHL's Dhruv ALH Mk-I (VT-HAU) was deployed to evacuate an unconscious snake-bite victim from the Bhamragarh region. Due to heavy monsoon rains, flooding and severe waterlogging, the helicopter could not land at Laheri. The local police swiftly shifted the patient by road to Bhamragarh, enabling the evacuation mission to continue without delay.

The mission was flown by Capt. Rajiv Sharma and Capt. Arvind Saini,while AME Shri J. K. Verma ensured the aircraft's mission readiness through timely inspections, refuelling and technical preparations, besides providing onboard technical support. With a doctor and medical attendant onboard, the patient received immediate medical care before being safely airlifted to Gadchiroli for advanced treatment. The mission, completed in 1 hour and 45 minutes, significantly improved the patient's chances of survival.

This successful operation reflects the outstanding coordination between the Maharashtra State Police, Pawan Hans flight crew, technical team and medical personnel, highlighting the indispensable role of helicopter emergency medical services in reaching remote areas during emergencies.
